This morning's journal community session was all a This morning's journal community session was all about noticing your inner critic.  It's that rather harsh voice that can get in the way and trip us up. 

Just because this voice can be annoyingly loud at times though, doesn't mean that it's speaking the truth. 

Through journalling, we looked at our thoughts as if they were different radio frequencies or stations. We explored the idea of turning down the volume to the judgy ones and changing stations and upping the volume to the self-compassionate ones. 

Tuning your thoughts to a more cruisy, upbeat station happens so easily when you journal. It gives you the chance to take a look at what's going on before 'changing stations'. This is far more effective and healthy than covering things up with false positivity. 

Reflecting, writing, connecting, laughing, and learning from each other is my favourite way to start the weekend.

Each ripple, even if it overlaps with another, sta Each ripple, even if it overlaps with another, starts with an individual drop of water, a central point. 

This is the image that came to mind at end of my journal session today.  I started with a slow moving brain fog and ended feeling connected with my inner self, my central point. Feeling grounded, I’m much more aware of the ripples that I’m sending into my day.
